Where's Daisy?!
Once getting home, and getting Daisy settled in, Peter and I ate some dinner, while occasionally going over and giving Daisy some attention, so she would know everything was okay. Around 7pm, Peter and I decided it was about time to go and purchase some of necessary stuff for Daisy (i.e. litter box, food, scratch pad thing, treats, etc.). We put some food and water by her behind the couch, and away we went.
We were gone an hour and a half tops! We were really excited to get home, knowing that Daisy was inside waiting for us! We get inside and put the bags down, and immediately go look behind the couch to find that Daisy is not there!! So we thought, "oh cool! Daisy is getting adventurous!"
We start to look around the apartment for her casually, and start to panic as we can't find her! "Seriously!? This is impossible!", I remember saying. We start to frantically look around the whole apartment. We were looking in places we KNEW she wasn't like kitchen cupboards and stuff, but hey! A cat just doesn't up and disappear from a locked apartment! So, we go upstairs to our friends on the third floor, and ask if they possibly had her. Maybe they were playing a prank? No luck. So we run back downstairs and continue to frantically search!
After looking under the couch, around the couch, in the bathroom, in the closets and cupboards we were stumped! We have to find this cat! All that could go through my mind was: "What the heck am I going to tell Shona?! Peter and I literally just adopted this cat four hours ago, and we already lost her! Seriously?!"
Peter pulled out the couch, and notices that there are little holes in the back of the couch, that would allow it to lounge. So, we instantly both thought, "hmm... wonder?!" And sure enough, there she was, chilling INSIDE that darn couch! Peter and I were relieved!!

Daisy's a little nervous
After a visit with Shona (the foster mom), Peter and I settled on our new angel, Daisy. She seems like she'll fit into our home perfectly. We went to the Animal Rescue League in East Liberty to get Daisy's last check ups, and shots, etc. We signed the papers, and off we were, bringing home our new kitty! We were very proud parents; shouting at other cars, "Careful! Kitty on board!!", and talking to Daisy, and easing her ride to her new home!
Once we got home, and I took Daisy out of the box carrying case, she almost immediately ran behind the couch. I got some of the treats out of the bag of goodies, that Shona too generously gave us. I tried to coax Daisy out with some treats, and the ribbon. Nope. She wasn't having it.
